Today, more than ever, we need to protect the system of multilateral diplomacy, at the center of which is the United Nations, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly. The international terrorism is a substantial threat to peace and security, President Radev pointed out. It is necessary to boost cooperation in the field of counterterrorism through the support for the United Nations as a key factor in this sphere, Rumen Radev went on to say. President Radev noted that in the past 12 months the international community has made no breakthrough in resolving any significant conflict worldwide. In his speech President Radev reaffirmed Bulgaria’s support for restoring the peace dialogue between Israel and Palestine. Bulgaria’s head of state emphasized Bulgaria’s consistent support for the EU integration of the Western Balkan countries. In President Radev’s view, this process is investment in the regional stability.
