Mountaineer Atanas Skatov has successfully climbed Dhaulagiri Peak in the Himalayas. The peak is 8127 meters high and is the tenth eight-thousander conquered by Skatov. Earlier this year he climbed three more of the highest peaks on the planet - Kanchenzonga - 8586 m, Gasherbrum I - 8080 m and Gasherbrum II - 8035 m.

The “Crown of the Himalaya" goes to those who have managed to climb the 14 highest peaks in the world. Closest to this achievement was Bulgarian Boyan Petrov, who disappeared a year ago in his attempt to climb his 11th eight-thousander - Shishapangma.
