Astral Holidays tour operator met all requirements for bankruptcy

The tourists affected by the bankruptcy of Astral Holidays tour operator, which is the Bulgarian subsidiary of the bankrupt British tour operator Thomas Cook, will be able to make their planned trips or get their money back, Lilyana Arsova from the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism announced. For the purpose, they have to look for assistance from Uniqa Insurance Company, Lilyana Arsova said and added that Astral Holidays has complied with all requirements and procedures for bankruptcy, which is in favor of the tourists. However, experts contend that dozens of Bulgarian hotels are yet to be affected by the bankruptcy of one of Bulgaria’s biggest tour operators.
