We have freedom to travel and work in the EU, President Rumen Radev points out

Freedom of movement in the EU is a right that Bulgarian citizens have, President Rumen Radev has pointed out. This was his comment on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron, who said in an interview he preferred to have legal migrants from Guinea or Ivory Coast in France, rather than clandestine networks of Bulgarians and Ukrainians.

According to President Radev, it was inappropriate and inadmissible in European policy to affix national labels. Relations between Bulgaria and France are based on long-standing friendship and cooperation and if there was any problem between us, this would not be the way to solve it, the Bulgarian head of state added. The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called the French ambassador in Sofia for an explanation on Monday.
