At the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) held in Slovakia, Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva praised the work of the Slovak Presidency of the Organization. Focusing on organized events to fight anti-Semitism, Zaharieva expressed satisfaction with the intention of the incoming Albanian Presidency to continue fulfilling the same priorities. At a meeting of Zaharieva with Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu, it was revealed that Sofia and Bucharest had similar positions on EU’s foreign policy. With her Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei, Zaharieva discussed his upcoming visit to Sofia in February next year. Albania’s Foreign Minister Ghent Cakaj expressed gratitude for Bulgaria's assistance in overcoming the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in his country.
