Bulgaria, which is the poorest country in the EU, attracts a large volume of foreign green-field investments in the information and communication technologies, Financial Times writes. In four years, the volume of these investments increased five times and the sales in this sector amounted to USD 3.2 billion in 2018. The technological center of Financial Times opened in April 2019 in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, which employs 110 people, also contributed to this positive development. Facebook and the World Bank, which also opened offices in Bulgaria’s capital, are among the latest investors in the ICT field.
