Bulgaria’s weightlifter Hristo Hristov takes the silver at Doha tournament

At the major pre-Olympic weightlifting tournament in Doha, Bulgarian athlete Hristo Hristov won the silver prize for overall performance in the race. Bulgarian weightlifters finish the pre-Olympic 2019 with a total of 46 medals, including 7 titles and 13 distinctions in world and European championships. Bulgaria has two World Youth Champions, one European Champion for Men, a Bronze Medalist at the world’s men’s championship, and three athletes with European Youth titles.

Currently, Bulgarian weightlifters Hristo Hristov, Yunder Beytula and Bozhidar Andreev have the highest chances of winning the two men's Olympic quotas.
