Bulgaria’s trade with EU up

Between January and October 2019 Bulgaria’s exports to the EU amounted to EUR 16,710 billion, which was 3.4% more than the same period in 2018, the National Statistical Institute reports. Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece, France and Belgium were the main importers of Bulgarian produce and 66.2% of Bulgaria’s total export was to these EU countries. Meanwhile, imports increased 2.6% to EUR 17. 442 billion. Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece and Spain were the biggest exporters to Bulgaria in that period. Bulgaria’s trade balance with the EU was negative to the tune of EUR 732 million.
