Selling monthly road vignettes for trucks has ceased

Photo: BGNES

Until March 1, 2020, when the toll system will be put into service, trucks over 3.5 tons will be able to purchase weekly and daily electronic vignettes. After that date, they would be able to use 3 115 km of paid road network for a toll calculated on the distance traveled, the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency has announced. Selling weekly vignettes will be stopped on February 24, and selling daily vignettes will stop in the last minute of February 29. The sale of monthly electronic vignettes for heavy vehicles has been discontinued since early February. Consumers who pay for more than one electronic vignette by bank transfer should be careful when entering term data, the agency warns.
