The Bulgarian media accentuate on Friday on the blood bath in Germany yesterday when a terrorist shot eleven people in the town of Hanau. Most victims are of Kurdish origin.

One Bulgarian citizen, several Turkish nationals, a Bosnian national and a Polish woman are also among the victims of the terrorist attack. The Bulgarian media specifies that Bulgarian Kaloyan Velkov who is one of the victims had resided in Germany for two years. He worked as cement truck driver, but recently was employed by one of the two shisha-bars attacked by the far-right extremist. Other Bulgarian nationals also worked in this pub, but Kaloyan was the only Bulgarian in the bar at the time of the attack. The murder deeply shocked the residents of Kaloyan’s native village of Lyuti Dol (Northwest Bulgaria), BNR informs.

24 Chassa daily accentuates on the circumstance that the terrorist had left a written manifesto against the foreigners in Germany in which he voices his belief that certain races should be eliminated and foreigners who could not be deported from Germany should be “destroyed”

Trud newspaper accentuates on the part of the statement of German Chancellor Angela Merkel where she talks about evidence that the shooter acted out of racist and far-right motifs. Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov sent a message of condolence to Chancellor Merkel voicing Bulgaria’s solidarity with Germany in the fight against all forms of terrorism and violence.
