Bulgarian cabinet discusses measures to mitigate effect of coronavirus emergency situation on businesses

The Bulgarian cabinet has announced that it is now discussing measures for mitigating the effect of the emergency measures imposed because of the coronavirus outbreak on businesses and the intensity of work. Among the measures are an extension of the annual accounting closure period as well as a discount on local taxes and fees. Together with the Bulgarian Development Bank, the cabinet will propose liquidity support measures for those businesses that have been in a liquidity crisis due to government-imposed measures. 

The European Investment Bank is also expected to announce measures to benefit Bulgarian business.
