Bulgaria with biggest decrease of new car sales in the EU

In February 2020 the biggest decrease of new car sales in the EU was registered in Bulgaria, data of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association show. Last month sales of new vehicles in Bulgaria fell with 29.2% as compared to February 2019. A total of 1,988 new cars were sold in Bulgaria in February this year, whereas in February lastr year 2,809 new cars were sold in this country. In the first two months of 2020 (January and February) sales of new cars decreased with 16,2% to 4,318 vehicles. Bulgaria is second in the EU after Romania where sales of new cars in the first two months of 2020 fell with 18.1%. In February this year new car sales in the EU fell with 7.4% to 957,052. In February last year a total of 1,033,608 new cars were sold in the EU.
