Automotive parts manufacturer Yazaki is suspending the operation of its factories in the towns of Dimitrovgrad, Sliven and Yambol until 5 April, 2020.
The reasons for this is the spread of coronavirus, the safety measures introduced and the fact that company clients have discontinued car production. The closure of the factories of the Japanese company in Dimitrovgrad, Sliven and Yambol affects around 4,500 employees.
Employer organizations recently predicted that automotive parts manufacturers will be hit hard by the coronavirus epidemic.
According to data of the Automotive Cluster Bulgaria, there are 259 companies, employing 65,000 people working in the automotive industry.
