At an extraordinary meeting, the Bulgarian government approved an agreement with the China National Pharmaceutical Foreign Trade Corporation on the delivery of personal protective equipment and medical equipment.
Under the agreement the Ministry is Health is to purchase 1,176,770 protective masks and 50 ventilators with financing under the Operational Programme “Regions in growth”. The masks will be used by health inspectors, interior ministry, defence ministry, customs agency and border checkpoint staff. The ventilators will be used by medical establishments to treat COVID-19 patients.
