Joining ERM2 and the Banking Union is the only rescue step for Bulgaria, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said and added he was sure about this, especially if the Covid-19 crisis continued.

PM Borissov recalled that common banking control was a guarantee for the transparency of  Bulgarian banks. I believe that the EU is the best place and as part of the common European family, we share everything - both good and bad, Borissov added, pointing out that he was not afraid of Germany’s debt, as the country had large GDP. I just pray every day that Germany recovers faster because the vast majority of our plants are attached to this economy, the Bulgarian PM also said.
