24 tons of imported vegetables with high pesticides content intercepted

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has intercepted and banned the sale of 24,478 tons of imported vegetables – peppers and tomatoes – from third countries with an excessive level of pesticide residue. The vegetables will be destroyed or returned to their country of origin in accordance with legal requirements.
