Cases continue to grow but at a moderate pace and the epidemic's development is under control, Bulgaria's Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev told the Bulgarian National Radio.

"We have reached about 1000 tests a day as this number is likely to increase as more laboratories become included", the expert said.
"The key is not where people go but how they behave. The risk arises when multiple people gather in one place. If we loosen up the measures now, everything that has been achieved so far will be meaningless", Kunchev believes.
He stressed that he was not optimistic about the possible vaccines and that the main thing Bulgaria was striving for was not to crush its healthcare system and to be able to offer medical treatment to everyone in need.
