Asked by Radio Varna, the largest low-cost airline Wizz Air, said it would not pursue its previous intention to resume its flights from Varna Airport to Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom on May 1st.

The company said they were in constant contact with local authorities and followed strictly the regulations and rules introduced by local and international health authorities. Resumption of flights will occur when local and international regulations allow it, the airline said in an official response. Varna regional authorities have commented that allowing air travel is not an adequate measure so far, because in many places in Europe the epidemic is still in full swing
