Prime Minister Borissov has phone conversation with President Macron

In a telephone conversation, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed current data on the spread of the coronavirus and measures that have proven effective in curbing the disease.

PM Borissov talked about the actions of the government and industry towards reorganization of the economy in the context of a pandemic and pointed out that since March the national textile industry has been producing protective equipment for medical personnel and other employees, directly involved in the fight against the virus.

In the conversation, the Bulgarian Prime Minister spoke about his expectation that after having officially submitted the documents for joining the ERM II mechanism to the European Central Bank, Bulgaria would continue to rely on the support of President Macron.
