The National Statistical Institute has announced that in March 2020 a sharp decline in the number of trips of Bulgarians abroad and the visits of foreigners to Bulgaria was registered. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, in March the trips of Bulgarians abroad dropped to 230.7 thousand, which is 51.8% less in comparison to the same month of 2019. At the same time, the number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria decreased to 312.8 thousand, which means a decline of 43.7%.
