Bulgarian unions point to unemployment and incomes as main priorities on Labour Day

In the current crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the major problems that Bulgaria's major trade unions, CITUB and Podkrepa, recognize are unemployment and preserving people's incomes against the backdrop of rising prices of basic commodities, officials from both unions say.
On International Workers' Day, May 1, the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) has launched a charitable initiative entitled "You are not Alone" in support of workers infected with Covid-19.
There are already dozens of infected workers employed in the country's light industry, Bobov Dol Thermal Power Plant, and medical treatment facilities, who are members of CITUB.
