After a doctor passed away because of Covid-19 infection in Sofia, it was reported that the other Bulgarian doctor who died because of coronavirus worked in first aid and was among the first infected with Covid-19 in this country. Head of the National Headquarters, Gen. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski said she was treated and after two negative tests she was sent for home quarantine. On May 2, her condition worsened and she was admitted to the emergency room where she collapsed and intubation was required. Despite the efforts, 45 minutes later she passed away.
The case is alarming because of the negative results of tests shown before deterioration of the condition. This calls into question the immunity that builds up after being ill. Ambiguities continue to be more than what is known about the virus, General Mutafchiyski concluded.
