57 newly registered coronavirus cases out of 1,158 tests conducted over past 24 hours

57 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases out of 1,158 tests conducted over the past 24 hours, which brings the number of tests conducted in Bulgaria so far up to 50,303. Of them 15 are hospitalized.

Out of the newly confirmed cases 6 are in Sofia and Sofia region, 21 – in Vidin, 11 – in Yambol, 7 – in Pleven, 4 – in Haskovo, 2 – in Blagoevrgad, 2 – in Montana, and 1 in Veliko Turnovo, Gabrovo, Kyustendil and Sliven. This brings the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria up to 1,689.

The total number of medical workers infected with coronavirus is 182.

342 patients have so far recovered, 21 of them are new recoveries. 4 more coronavirus patients have died, all of them with underlying diseases. At 8 AM on Tuesday the death toll is 78.

Out of all coronavirus patients in the country 316 are in hospital, 37 of them are in intensive care.

Mass testing for Covid-19 is being launched in the Roma neighbourhood in the town of Yambol. Much of the neighbourhood was blocked off last night after 11 coronavirus cases were confirmed there.
