Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will help the professional football club Levski, but only after a change in the club's ownership, Bulgaria's Sports Minister Krasen Kralev announced. In a letter to Borissov, the fan clubs of the Levski call on the state to allow the current sponsor to continue to finance the team or they demand help from the state in saving the football club from bankruptcy.

So far, Levski FC has been funded by the businesses of businessman Vasil Bozhkov, who is hiding from Bulgarian justice in Dubai.
Bulgaria's Sports Minister Kralev also said that the restart of the national football championship could take place on June 5 or June 12 with special safety measures and in empty stadiums.
