As of June 1, the beaches in Bulgaria will be open for visitors. Until then, the mobile application for showing where and what is the occupancy of umbrellas and sunbeds will start working, Bulgaria's Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova announced. She pointed out that beach accessories will be at least 50% cheaper than the previous summer season, but not free.

The National Front for Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB) party has submitted a bill with measures to save the tourism sector, approved by the Council of the ruling government coalition. However, the proposal to provide every insured Bulgarian citizen with a voucher to the tune of 105 euros for a 7-day vacation was rejected by the legal committee in parliament.
