Video surveillance captured a special moment in the life of storks in the village of Belozem - the hatching of the first small storks this year. The modern video system is located on the roof of the local community center "Prosveta 1909". In this way, an extremely rare sight has been revealed to the local people and the Green Balkans team.

On May 8, environmentalists saw four small storks in one of the nests, and records showed that the day before, the parents were still hatching their eggs. With the help of modern technologies it is possible to trace the history of the birds and the nests they inhabit, as well as to establish the exact moment of hatching, Elena Uzunova says.

The observation of the birds is carried out under a project for preserving and promoting the storks in Belozem - “The European White Stork Village in Bulgaria". 20 pairs of storks are currently nesting in the village near Plovdiv.
