Bolhrad region in Ukraine populated with ethnic Bulgarians will retain its borders: Foreign Ministry

The Bolhrad region in Ukraine’s Odessa district populated mainly with ethnic Bulgarians will retain its current borders and will not be divided within the frameworks of the planned administrative-territorial reforms, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said in a phone conversation with Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva. Yesterday, the two ministers held a phone conversation as well and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Kuleba promised to check the matter. Ministers Zaharieva and Kuleba agreed to keep in touch until an acceptable solution is reached.
