2/3 of Bulgarians think their jobs at are risk

The Covid-19 crisis has affected every aspect of life around the world. An international survey (of Zaplatomer.bg and Paylab.com) conducted in 15 countries (Finland, Central Europe, the Balkans and the Baltics) indicates that 55% of workers believe that their jobs are at risk. i

In Bulgaria, as many as 59% have responded that their jobs are strongly or partially endangered. Remuneration has been reduced by 18%, 13% were laid off and 11% went on unpaid leave. 41% work remotely, 14% with reduced working hours, and 22% are on vacation. 4% indicated that they had been out of work before the introduction of the isolation measures, and 17% say they have not been affected by the crisis. The share of those considering a new job is 35%, and those who do not think about changing employers are 27%.
