Bulgaria to receive EUR 2.693 billion under the Just Transition Fund

Bulgaria will receive EUR 2.693 billion from the Just Transition Fund. It became clear from the proposal of the European Commission and the European Investment Bank for a public loan in support of green investments. European Commission’s Executive Vice President Frans Timmermans said that the Just Transition Fund will be increased from EUR 7.5 billion to EUR 40 billion through the Next Generation EU mechanism. The purpose of the fund is to help the member states speed-up their transition to carbon neutrality, Frans Timmermans underlined.
