President Radev participates at United Nations forum on development amidst Covid-19

The most important conclusions from the current crisis are that restrictive measures must not violate fundamental human rights, the social measures must help the people in need in a timely manner and the financial instruments must target those who will be the driving force for the quick recovery. This is what Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said in his speech at the United Nations’ High-Level Event on Financing for Development in the Era of Covid-19 and Beyond held via a video conference link. The coronavirus pandemic showed that investments in healthcare are crucial and should make health systems more sustainable and prepared for critical situations, President Radev said further.
