Over 40% of rose crop this year to remain unharvested

The Bulgarian sector processing oil-yielding rose is left to cope with problems alone, while in Turkey there is state support, which lowers prices on world markets. This is what Metodi Stefanov, who is working in the field of rose processing, has told the BNR.

According to him, the fall in the prices of raw materials is not the result of overproduction and the global crisis. If we had state guarantees for loans, the harvest would be bought and rose growers saved, Stefanov said and added that the sector would emerge from the crisis in no less than three years.
