Eco-entrepreneurs Blazhka Dimitrova and Boryana Uzunova have been bestowed with the biggest award of the environmental organization WWF - the President's Youth Award, which is presented to young environmentalists from around the world. The two Bulgarian women have been distinguished for their efforts to trigger a change in people’s attitude towards nature.

Blazhka Dimitrova has been working on promoting the idea of zero-waste lifestyle, which she describes in a book, and she has opened the first zero-waste restaurant in Bulgaria She also deals with educating individuals and institutions on how to use natural resources responsibly.

Boryana Uzunova is the founder of a company for hardware and software technologies.
