Despite populist appeals to distribute money and support other industries, reduction of defense funds has not been discussed in the government or at the coalition level, Defense Minister Krassimir Karakachanov says.

In front of the relevant parliamentary committee, the Minister said that implementation of the agreement for delivery of F-16 aircraft is going according to plan and despite the Covid-19 crisis, manufacturer "Lockheed Martin" was on time.

Minister Karakachanov added that the pandemic had delayed implementation of the contract for the repair of Su-25 aircraft, as well as the completion of tenders for armored vehicles and new patrol ships.
