62% of bathing waters in Bulgaria are of excellent quality

Bathing waters in Bulgaria are of very good quality, indicates the European Environment Agency and European Commission annual assessment of the quality of bathing waters monitored in 2019.

95 bathing water sites in this country have been monitored, 91 of them on the Black Sea coast and 4 inland. 811 samples have been taken. According to the data made public, the quality of 62% of the waters is excellent, 28% - good and 4% - sufficient. None of the sites monitored has poor quality water.
