Central heating prices reduced by 10 percent retroactively

Photo: BGNES

The new reduced prices of central heating and hot water will be applied retroactively for the period from August 2019 to March 2020 and will be cheaper by 10%. This was calculated by Bulgaria's Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. The total amount that the district heating companies have to return to their clients is BGN 40 million (over EUR 20 million) with VAT.
The recalculation was necessary due to the lower natural gas prices that were agreed between Bulgargaz and its Russian supplier Gazprom Export for a past period.
