BSP calls for investigation of Bulgarian Development Bank- Fibank deal

The Bulgarian Socialist Party demands the establishment of an ad hoc Parliamentary committee to investigate the deal between the Bulgarian Development Bank and First Investment Bank. The decision was taken during the sitting of the National Council of the opposition socialist party which lasted for over 9 hours. The parliamentary group of BSP will table a fifth no-confidence motion against Boyko Borissov’s cabinet, this time over corruption. The decision for nationwide petition was rejected. The 50th Congress of BSP will take place on September 26. The direct election of BSP leader is to take place on September 12 and the possible runoff is scheduled for September 19, the National Council of The Bulgarian Socialist Party decided.
