53% of Bulgaria’s tourists prefer the Black Sea coast for their summer vacation

More than 1.6 million Bulgarians are planning vacations this summer. 53% of them will choose Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, whereas last year 54% spent their summer holiday on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, data of a survey of Trend sociological agency, commisioned by 24 Chasa daily shows. 21% of the respondents prefer a holiday in the Bulgarian mountains as compared to 16% last year. 20% of all resondents are planning to go on holiday abroad, as compared to 32% in 2019. 65% of the surveyed say Greece is their most preferred holiday destination (compared to 57% in 2019). 20% of the respondents said they choose Turkey for their summer holiday ( compared to 29% in 2019). 61% of the people who are not planning to go on vacation this summer say they cannot afford such due to the lack of money and only 12% of the Bulgarians say they will not go on vacation this summer, because they are worried about the coronavirus epidemic.
