The government's draft for a second budget update for this year has been submitted to parliament. The cabinet has approved changes to the basic financial law, which increase the maximum amount of state guarantees that the country can take. They range from more than 750 million euros to more than 900 millions euros.
The change is necessary because of the commitments of this country in the pan-European response to the crisis caused by Covid-19. The update is related to the money that needs to be collected in the SURE scheme and the Pan-European Guarantee Fund, government’s reasons read.
