Full quarantine in Kyustendil’s Iztok neighbourhood

The enhanced anti-epidemic measures in the Roma neighbourhood of Iztok in the town of Kyustendil, southwestern Bulgaria, with a population of 12,000, are being replaced by full quarantine.

The quarantine will be imposed at 10 PM on Friday and will be in place until the end of the month, municipal mayor Petar Paunov announced. Full quarantine is being introduced because of the spreading Covid-19 epidemic in the neigbourghood. Out of 198 people tested, 34 have tested positive, 7 are in hospital, of whom 4 are in very serious condition.
