Today marks 65 years since Bulgaria became a member of the UN.
To mark the occasion a ceremony took place in the garden of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at which the blue flag of the United Nations was raised to the sound of the hymn to the UN and the national anthem of Bulgaria. The flag will remain hoisted for one year, alongside the flags of Bulgaria, the EU and NATO.
