158 new coronavirus infections, 7 new deaths for past day

The number of new cases of Covid-19 for the past 24 hours is 158 after 3,343 PCR tests, official data published in the coronavirus information portal at midnight shows.

Sofia is the place with the biggest number of cases - 43, followed by Smolyan with 36 cases. The number of infected people since the beginning of the epidemic has reached 4989. Out of them, 2083 cases are still active. 435 patients are hospitalized and 32 are in intensive care units. 

In the past 24 hours, 7 people with Covid-19 passed away and the total number of deaths since the beginning of the epidemic reached 230. 

A total of 2,676 have recovered, as the number of cases of recovered people in the past 24 hours is 94.
