Queues of waiting cars at Kulata border checkpoint shrinks

Traffic in both directions at the Kulata-Promachonas border checkpoint is heavy, but there are no more queues of cars, the Border Police has reported. The queues of waiting cars have shrank after Greek authorities stopped the passage of cars with Serbian registration.

According to the Border Police, more than 80% of the cars that passed through the Kulata checkpoint by 8 am on Monday morning were from Serbia, and kilometers of queues formed due to the thorough inspection Serbian citizens are subject to. This has caused Romanians and Bulgarians traveling on vacation to Greece to wait for hours at the only border crossing open to tourists.
