Opposition wants vote of no confidence against cabinet

Next week, the main opposition force, the Bulgarian Socialist Party - BSP, is submitting a no-confidence motion against the government in parliament because of corruption, leader Kornelia Ninova said.

She criticized the cabinet of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, saying that cases of coronavirus infection in the country were growing proportionately to the scandals generated by the government and added the pandemic was being used for political purposes.

BSP also calls for two inquiry committees in parliament. They must find out the price of the shares in First Investment Bank bought by the state and shed light on facts about missing taxes and fees in the treasury from gambling.
