At a conference of the International Labour Organization, Kristalina Georgieva, director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), called today on politicians to focus on a low-carbon, lasting recovery that would create millions of jobs. According to her, this would help deal with the climate crisis, which has threatened important developments in recent years.

According to IMF forecasts, a deeper global recession is expected than originally expected. This year, the gross world product (WGP) is expected to shrink by 4.9 percent and losses are expected to the global output worth $ 12 trillion by the end of 2021.
