From April to June this year, 277 companies in one of the most stable industries in Bulgaria - the IT sector, have benefited from the 60/40 state measure. According to a specialized agency for business research in this area, with nearly 1.5 million euros allocated, the sector has retained more than 4,700 jobs. The approved companies are small and medium-sized businesses (37%) and micro-enterprises (62%), while the branches of large software and hardware companies have not benefited from the measure.

According to analysts, a job in the technology sector generates an average of 7.5 thousand euros in taxes for the budget and over 12 thousand euros for the software business. Therefore, keeping the people in the sector would bring nearly 50 million euros in budget revenues.
