Blockades in the centre of Sofia continue

The tent blockades in Sofia continue – on Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard, in the space between the buildings of the council of ministers and the presidency, and at the intersection at Eagles' Bridge.

At the moment the situation is calm at Eagles' Bridge but during the night tension flared up again between the protesters from the tent camp and members of the public. Late last night the protesters put up an enormous banner which reads: Resign, right now!

The demands remain unchanged despite the attempts of the authorities to establish a dialogue. In spite of the cabinet reshuffle the protesters continue to demand the resignation of the government, the prosecutor general and the holding of fair elections.

Anti-government protests took place in many towns across the country.
