New 2,000 MW nuclear plant is among Bulgaria's priorities until 2030

The construction of new 2,000 MW nuclear power plant has been planned.Together with the operation of Units №5 and №6 of Kozloduy NPP, the new capacity will contribute to the energy security of the country and the region. This is written in a project part of the National Development Program "Bulgaria 2030", published in the portal for public consultations, BTA has reported. The goal is to increase energy productivity based on low-carbon technologies. Opinions on the project are collected until August 25.
In order to improve electricity connectivity, the construction of new inter-connectors between Bulgaria and Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, and Bulgaria and Serbia is envisaged.
