Kornelia Ninova: Boyko Borissov buys off his survival

GERB and the ruling majority have "committed a ritual suicide" today driven by fear, the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Kornelia Ninova announced at an extraordinary briefing after the failed sitting of the Bulgarian National Assembly. In her words, “people saw today how statehood crumbles away and how their money is stolen”.

Boyko Borissov again showed how the rule of law is violated, because allocation of money can only happen through the State Budget Act and its amendment in Parliament, Kornelia Ninova pointed out. She assumed that no one in Bulgaria, including GERB, knows how much money is in the state budget, what the deficit or the surplus is. “In one month Borisov handed out or promised to give nearly EUR 1 billion without any plan, criteria or evaluation”, Kornelia Ninova said further. In her view, Borissov buys his own survival this way.
