Bulgarian Socialist Party rejects GERB’s draft on new Constitution

The Bulgarian Socialist Party does not support the draft on new Constitution proposed by GERB party and will not participate at the consultations for constitutional changes, Yanaki Stoilov, member of the National Council of BSP announced at an extraordinary press conference. The socialists call for categorical opposition to the attempt for constitutional replacement via Parliamentary means and mass actions, BNR reporters inform.

Earlier today, in an interview for BNR the Chairperson of the Parliamentary group of GERB party Daniela Daritkova, who submitted yesterday the draft to the basic law, announced that her political party was ready to fix the legal and technical mistakes from the draft on a new Constitution in a dialogue with the parties represented at the National Assembly and the protesting citizens.
