This morning, on the 44th day of anti-government protests, the building of public service broadcaster Bulgarian National TV, BNT, was blocked by BOEC civil movement.
The protesters barred BNT’s guests from entering the building through the main entrance with the motive that the public service broadcaster’s coverage of events was not objective.
This is the fourth “surprise blockade” of important institutions in Sofia. The previous blockades were of the Ministry of Justice, the Central Electoral Commission, and the anti-Corruption Commission.
The tent camp blockades remain at key intersections in Sofia – Eagles’ Bridge, Sofia University and Nezavisimost Square between the Presidency and the Council of Ministers.
At around 4 AM this morning the police removed the blockade on the bridge in front of the International Plovdiv Fair, clearing the tents put up earlier by protesters in Plovdiv to block traffic along the bridge.
